After leaving the Ark, we made a short drive into Cincinnati, hearts full and ready for familiar faces. There is nothing quite like stepping out of the truck and straight into the arms of family, sharing stories from the road over a lingering dinner and soaking in every smile and laugh.

Dinner at El Barril was a treat—good food, easy conversation, and the simple joy of catching up with Cole and Murph. 🍂

Our time together was brief, but it felt rich and unhurried, a small pocket of calm in the middle of our travels. We’re already looking forward to having these dear ones living closer to home.

Tonight’s reservation is at a nearby Harvest Host, a cozy overnight stop that will be the starting point for tomorrow’s miles as we continue our 40th-anniversary journey toward Maine.
