God told Noah to build an ark to survive a world-destroying flood, instructing him on its design and the types and numbers of animals to bring aboard. After the flood, God established a covenant with Noah and all living things, promising never to destroy life again with a flood and giving the rainbow as a sign of this everlasting promise.

Driving up to this structure, it is hard to fathom constructing such an enormous vessel in the early days with minimal tools and capabilities. Anything is possible with God though, right?
The Ark Encounter is an amazing visual of what Noah constructed, and then prepared for . A journey never before envisioned. Storage, growing food, living quarters for not only Noah’s family but every species of animal, and all for an undesignated amount of time.

The animals, many of which are extinct today are displayed in their own spaces with descriptions/ details of each.

There is so much to see and read about this adventure and beyond. If you are rving your way through our beautiful country and find yourself in Williamstown Kentucky, make it a point to stop and spend time at the Ark Encounter. It is worth the time.
Now we are on to Cincinnati to have dinner with a few of our favorite peeps that we have not seen in quite a while. More info on this later!
