A rule of thumb we have adopted while RVing is the 3 3 3 rule…..
We try to drive no more than 3 hrs a day
Or
300 miles
And We are at our campground, set up by 3 pm.
Even though driving is normally not problem, it can be stressful in big cities, in traffic and that occasional novice driver, lol. So to be sure our driver has an excellent experience we keep drive time to a minimum. It does take us a little longer to get where we are going but we are not in a hurry.
Also, pulling into a new, to you, campground and trying to park and hook up in the dark is not a good idea. So we would rather be safe than sorry.
