Lambeau Field is the proud home of the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League, situated in the heart of Green Bay, Wisconsin. The stadium first opened its gates on September 29, 1957, bearing the name City Stadium — the second venue in Green Bay to carry that designation. With a seating capacity of approximately 81,441, it ranks among the most iconic and beloved sporting venues in all of American athletics, drawing pilgrims from across the country who come not merely to watch a game, but to experience a piece of living history.

Lambeau Field derives its name from Curly Lambeau — the visionary co-founder, original coach, and driving spirit behind the Green Bay Packers, without whom professional football in this city might never have existed at all.
