Cambria Travels

a wandering RV course

Oshkosh, WI

Our next stop, Oshkosh Wisconsin. Jack and Robert worked together for many years. Laurel and I crafted and raised our children together. We lovingly referred to ourselves as road widows due to the fact that Jack and Robert traveled for a living.

We stopped over for a few days to catch up with our friends and saw some of the flair of Oshkosh. And learned how to spell Oshkosh! Lol – turns out it is all one word not Osh Kosh but Oshkosh.

Anyway, we visited the largest farmers market I have ever been to in downtown Oshkosh. Turns out there was also a Jazz Fest going on that same day. What luck! We got to hear Jack and Laurie’s son, Mike and 2 accomplishes play while we enjoyed an adult beverage. Could have listened all day. These young men are very talented.

Laurie fussed over us with delicious food and warm hospitality. She and I spent an afternoon crafting in her spacious craft studio in the basement. So jealous! I am so out of practice that I had to really think about what I was doing! It’s been a minute.

We had a lovely dinner at TJ’s Harbor. If you are ever in Oshkosh, check it out. It will not disappoint. Then Sunday dinner at home with the whole family. That was such a blessing. We had not seen their adult children in years. And we had not met their precious daughter in law and their 2 sweet granddaughters.

It was such a wonderful visit but as always, short lived. But we have many places to see and things to do before the leaves change. Next stop….Greenbay’s Lambaugh Field

Make it a great day!

Nancy
